Hand embroderies

These are my three latest hyper-realistic hand embroideries.

I created the two pill pieces after noticing that my use of sleeping pills decreased when I was actively stitching. Embroidery, for me, is a calming ritual, a way to clear my mind. So the concept behind these works is simple: embroidering pills have the same soothing effect on me as the real ones I'm depicting.

The biceps is the first piece in a new series I'm currently developing, focused on the body and the brain.

Each piece takes around 150 hours to complete, sewn one single thread at a time. Each piece mesure around 30 cm2.
