From LGBT-Free Zones With Love

In 2025, I travelled through the so-called “LGBT-Free Zones” in Poland, towns where local governments had declared themselves free of “LGBT ideology.” I wanted to feel the hate and see what was so important to protect from us.

For seven days, I visited these places. I kept a low profile, but carried out a small ritual: in each town, I took a self-portrait while eating something with a hint of irony.

On their own, the photos seem quiet. Together, they tell a different story. This series is a mix of documentation and subtle protest, aiming to raise awareness about the situation.

The project was published in a well-known French gay magazine (France & Belgium).
